Hope Town is located in one of the largest bodies of protected waters of the Bahamas - The Sea Of Abaco. It is a perfect area for small boaters. Waters are shallow and anchoring is easy to allow for island and sea exploration. The islands that make up the Abacos are small and numerous. They are close together & each one is unique - some with restaurants, shopping, history, fuel, and other services and others with many miles of secluded beaches, fine pink sand and turquoise waters. National Water Parks are scattered up and down the Sea of Abaco for snorkeling and diving adventures on your own or on a guided trip with Froggies Outisland Adventure or Capt'n Plugs Adventures All islands can be explored by foot or bicycle on land. Some islands have moped rentals and even taxi and car rentals for longer excursions. Fishing: Deep sea fishing, reef fishing, and bone fishing are all re-known in the waters of the Abacos. Local charters are available. |
